Does anyone know cheap repair of engine pipe?
Hello All,
I went to few repair shop to fix my engine pipe (the exhaust system that comes from the engine.) They gave me cost estimate of about $500 - $700 to replace the pipe. I really do not want to spend this sum of money for my 13 year old car.
I had heard that we could get a bandage to wrap around the damaged area to seal the leaking gas. Does anyone have use this kind of product? Since engine pipe area is very hot I do not also catch a fire if this bandage is dangerous. Any suggestions will be appreciated. The whole is not big in my pipe. Thanks.

i'm going to assume you're talking about the Y-pipe. you can get that a many places for less than $200. check your local exhaust shops. or if you like a little more performance look around for performance y-pipes.
