I am using stock aluminum wheels and on my right front wheel there is a hairline crack along the rim(see pic). also there seems to be some kind of coating peeling off of the aluminum.

has anyone else had these problems, and also how do I keep the brake dust from looking so bad, this is only after a 1 hour drive and the tire looks horrible!

thanks.

1 - you hit a pothole or something that cause the lip of the rim to crack

2 - clear coat is flaking on the rim.

assesment - get a new rim.

would u repaint a panel when it's 1/2 rusted?
the rim is cracked..it's paper weight.

if the crack is not there...repaint is possible.
