I'll just take my MAF adapter as is. Last time I heard, it was all ready for paint. If it'll speed things up, I can always paint it myself.

look at what i did instead of becoming a d!ckhead: resorted to writing a dam*n poem. this has become, for me, a good opportunity to practice anger management, tact, understanding, softness, sensitivity. level-headedness. forgiveness. etc...

BUT what i don't understand is that if these tubes are supposedly ready to go, unpainted, then what is the delay NOW? just ship them out for F*cks sake! i'm starting to not believe anymore, or, rather, come out of denial about, "john cannot check email." i just don't buy it. why can't he speak for himself anymore? this is turning into a "case study in human behavior."

I've been quiet about this whole thing so far. The email replies stopped a month ago. There are authorities that handle things like this, since it is FRAUD! How many people had their money tasken so far?

Last time we talked it was about a week ago, maybe 10 days, He was going to try to come up here this last weekend, but no show, now I guess he's planning on coming up this weekend, so I'm going to call him and find out whats going on.

I have the intakes in my garage all welded up, I can even get a picture for you guys if you want, I just need to get ahold of my dads digital camera.

I wish it would all be over with, hopefully John will be up this weekend then.

I am giving john two more weeks to get these done i think thats fair notice. After the two week period from today if the VE unpainted CAI is not within my possesion i am within my right to consult my laywer as to the next steps in how to either get a refund or the product. I still have my paypal reciept for proof of a sale and have this thread to show what it was for. So to anyone who talks to john pass the message on. In one weeks time i will make a call to him utilizing the number provided to warn him of this. I simply had it with waiting it seems to me he dosent give a crap about finishing these, however i give a crap about my 160 bucks. Anyone who after the two week period from today wants to be apart of the lawsuit i may have to bring against john (unfortunatly ) may PM me or email me at 93nissanmaxima@comcast.net if you would like your money or product. I don't know about the smile part
But, I think john has/is learning the hard way that business is harder than it looks.
I've tried numerous ventures before only to fail because I failed to seperate my personal money from my business money.
You also have to be able to have a fund reserve cause the business should be expected to lose money for a while before it makes any.
Hopefully john has learned and he will be wiser next time around.

I have 5 unfinished VG "mid-pipe" tubes if you will, plus 1 finished one that John left me as a guide. Unfinished means that the welds havent been grinded down and they are just bare metal. I dont have any VE intakes

That CAI is mine. The full red VG CAI setup? Lol, I'm not saying that just because I want it bad enough.-but really John removed his original CAI from his vehicle because i was impatient to get it and he replaced his old one for the newer version (that doesnt stretch around the battery). But since it wasn't powder coated he lost some paint on it in the couple months he was testing it. He had to repaint and he ended up giving my midpipe to Shawn if I remember right. Needless to say, Last time i checked it was laying out on his bed with the cd rom and complete setup "waiting to be boxed and shipped". I still have the pic taken by the digi cam.

Not like it matters, I'd feel a lot better and do if all of ours are made first and then sent out so no one is left with the possibility of getting shorted. Lets get this thing in gear, I'm sure we are not forgotton.

 

I'm sure Shawn would be willing to ship. But I don't think he's will to ship AND PAY for shipping. Big difference. He's already helped you guys quite a bit. I know everyone is frustrated but there is actually quite a bit of effort into boxing/shipping, not to mention cost.

Basically I have no idea what John owes you guys aside from what you've told me. I know he owes some of you just a pipe and a filter or MAF adapter or something, while others he owes the whole kit, etc. I am in no way, shape or form really connected to John with these except I said I'd help him finish making them because he was having trouble getting the tools to get them completed. I agree 110% that it is taking too long to get these done and it sucks.

Right now I'm waiting to hear back from John to see if he is coming up this weekend, I dont have a problem shipping stuff, but I wont pay for it because it is not my responsibility, it is John's. I also dont have all the parts to ship a complete intake, thats the other problem Just let me try and find out whats up with John first, I will let you guys know as soon as I find out (as I have been).

I paid $15 shipping also. I paid for mine the second I used the buy now option on ebay. I have been extremely patient, even with none of my emails getting replies. I'd be happy to get the tubing minus the maf adapt and cone filter, since I already have those on my car. That is a long way to have to travel for me to get some satisfaction for my $125 ya know.

He called me a few hours ago, he's not coming up this weekend because he doesn't have enough gas money and he had a prior arrangement with his Aunt. I'm going to call him back tommarrow and talk to him about the intakes some more.

 

cop out - he can tell his aunt if he dosent finish his business venture he will end up in court - why diddnt he work all day and night when he had jeff's welder ? wouldnt that be the smart thing to do just to get these done ? if this was my deal i would have welded these things ages ago...

 

Just a wild thought, can he handover the project to someone else? Seems that John is still trying to dig himself out from this mess. So, wouldn't it be in everyone's best interest that someone else takes over? Again, just a thought...

 

OK. I have been waiting since october for my Red VG Midpipe and Adaptor. I have been told that it was done and painted about a month ago and that the only reason it wasn't at my door yet was because John had no money to ship it back to me. It's been a looong time. I'm glad to hear that MrGone has a finished and painted(should be) VG midpipe gives me hope that I might get to see it someday. So Mr.Gone ask John what the plans are for shipping because apparently it is done and I've been waiting for quite some time. Email me w/info. Thanks

I wasnt going to get involved in this thread but it has gone on for a while. This would be difficult but if those are willing it could be worked out.

IF someone pays Shawn to ship me everything he has I will gladly weld them up and finish them (except painting unless someone wants to pay me for the paint) and if you will pay me I will ship them. I will only charge what it would cost each person to ship them...no flat rate trying to make money on someone elses mis fortune.

Shawn could put everything in one box and get a shiping est. for what it would cost to ship to me and then yall can divide it amongst yourselves.

This would be a lot of trouble because I would have to have a list from John and addresses not to mention everyone would have to pay 2 more times for shipping (shawn to me and me to you).

I am offering this service but I doubt it would work out because of the shipping deal and all that would have to be involved. I am only offering because I hate to see someone get ripped off or someone else having hard times and not being able to finish what he started. I could have them welded and shipped in just a couple of days though.

 

It's an idea, but for me it's not worth what I ordered. I paid John 10 bucks (I know it's not much, that's why I'm not really upset) for a MAF adapter. Seems like if I pay Shawn to ship to you, then pay you to ship to me...the shipping price might be more than the cost of the MAF adapter. My $.02
