well, i'm all for it. shawn, check your pm. i want to do this. let us unite our efforts and get this done. i don't mind the extra shipping cost. i chalk it up as the price of "whatever."

anyone else dig this idea? nick? it's only a few more bucks. and it will end this dam.n saga.

Well the thing is if he packages a bunch of the tubes at once then it shouldnt be too bad and only be like a dollar or so apiece from each of you (from him to me) and then actual shipping from me to you which I would think would be 5-7 since I would use FedEx ground. I mean heck if he packs it all up and it costs 10-15 but there are 10 or so of you then that divided amongst each of you is only a dollar or dollar fifty. Shawn would just have to get an estimate from FedEx or UPS. I prefer FedEx because I deal with them everyday and they always go the extra little they can for me adn they are generally cheaper on ground shipping costs over UPS and way over USPS (on bigger stuff)...I deal with the express people but they take my ground boxes too.

On something like just a maf adapter I dont think you should pay any extra in shipping (to me from shawn that is) since you can just throw it in with the pipes and not really add any more weight but thats up to everyone else.

Again I dont want to tick Shawn off or anything because I havent even talked to him or anything. I am just offering a solution.

Yeah, I just ordered a MAF adapter. But if I don't help Shawn in the shipping, the feeling of guilt will linger in me, since you guys are stepping in and helping us out .

Ok, sorry guys, I'm just tired, lol.
Michael, thats an awesome offer, but I dont think it will accomplish much besides involve Michael and just add more expense. Basically right now its just a matter of grinding down the welds (which I have slowly been working on with just using a file, even though I said I didnt want to, lol). I do not have all the parts to mail out a CAI kit, I only have the mid pipe parts for VG's. If I had all the parts for a CAI kit I would have asked for money to ship them out, lol. Personally I dont think you guys should have to pay for shipping since you already did. Anyway, they are already all welded up, its just a matter of grinding down the welds (purely cosmetic), but its mainly just meeting up with John so I can give them back to him so he can ship them since he has the rest of the parts for the CAI's.

so this is really closer to being done than we have thought? and you're relatively near meeting up again with him?

yeah, I said before they are all welded, and just need to be filled down (cosmetic). I didn't want to have to do it because using my grinder it takes away alot of material rather quickly, and filing my hand takes forever, but I've just been doing it by hand slowly, just so John can get them out to you guys sooner. He cant make it up this weekend, so I'll ask him about next weekend.

lol at the comic relief but Shawn, as you can see, the updates are what make this less stressfull and frustrating. We know that someone is reliable and frequents the board, however, when these go back to John for shipping how will I know they are shipped or confirmation tracking etc. If he's too busy now to come up there and get them, what makes him less busy to grind and send?

Exactly, that is also why I am trying to get him to bring everything up to my house and we just knock them out and mail them out. On one hand I just want to get rid of them so I can get out of being part of this whole thing, but on the other hand I really want to make sure you guys get your stuff in a timely manor (lol ), thats the whole reason why I offered to help. I dont really want to just send them back to John, if I want to send this things anywhere, its to you guys. Hopefully that makes sense.

Shawn do you want me to send you an angle grinder to use. I have a spare one. Just be sure to use safety goggles when you use it. It will grind the welds down correctly and timely.

Let me know.

I think if you helped with the shipping that would be perfect. Considering John built you a custom cai that weekend.

I am giving john two more weeks to get these done i think thats fair notice. After the two week period from today if the VE unpainted CAI is not within my possesion i am within my right to consult my laywer as to the next steps in how to either get a refund or the product. I still have my paypal reciept for proof of a sale and have this thread to show what it was for. So to anyone who talks to john pass the message on. In one weeks time i will make a call to him utilizing the number provided to warn him of this. I simply had it with waiting it seems to me he dosent give a crap about finishing these, however i give a crap about my 160 bucks. Anyone who after the two week period from today wants to be apart of the lawsuit i may have to bring against john (unfortunatly ) may PM me or email me at 93nissanmaxima@comcast.net if you would like your money or product. So get cookin john "reasonable and prudent" time has passed and alotta people are angry yet showing great restraint on here so i think you should show your face and thank all the great people here on the org who have put up with this for as long as they have.

I really hope you fall upon hard or difficult times someday and come across people just like you, so mabey you could see how it is. Yeah you have a right to be mad, but why cant you understand that sometimes **** happens and it may not work out as fast as you want, Im sure John has to worry about himself being able to survive first, its obvious he doesnt have a ton of money, so what are you going to sue him for? what does he have? $160 isnt pocket change but its not that much, if anything buy one off ebay and then sell the one you bought from John when you get it, yeah its not fair to you but sometimes thats how **** works out, not everyone has people to depend on.

Well I was throwing around the idea of helping with the shipping too. But when I was fooling around with the welder, I found that the 40cuft tank was empty. So I figured I contributed the welder and the cost to fill my bottle back up is enough. Considering the bottle didn't have that much time on it when I brought it over.
If I feel differently, I'll chime in. Anton should reply though

Michael, the offer with the angle grinder, I'll probably have to take you up on that. I was waiting to hear a reply from Anton, but he hasn't been on the last few days.

this much is true Jeff...

I'll help out w/ shipping and I'm grinding them down tomorrow. Sue me if they don't look *perfect* but hey, it happens sometimes. I also have my valve cover gaskets to replace... big day!

But yeah, I'd like to get them all shipped tomorrow (it *would* be nice), or at least some...

tell me how much and where to paypal as soon as these things are boxed.

I'm very appreciative of your contributions guys. I only made this thread because i wanted to expose and put it out before we had any problems like no kits / communication with John. My intention was never to put John in a bad position under hard times, it was just to get these kits to those who payed.

Don't worry about it. Consider it just my contribution.

Looks like Anton is stepping up. I'm sure everyone appreciates it.

We still don't know who or how many is waiting and for what parts. There are about 4-5 that I can think of, but I am not going to put their name down.

I will start with mine. And I would be more than happy to toss in a couple of dollars to ship.

just add to it and what you are waiting on. This will have to do until we can get the list from John.
