87-89 vg30et are 8.5:1, 84-86 is 8.3:1, and i think the vg30dett has 8.5:1. 9:1 actually isn't that bad for boost. most of the forged pistons that i've found for the vg30dett are 9:1 (which i would have to use since i would be using the dett's rods). what is also nice about using 9:1 pistons on my car is that would put me back to stock power n/a. it would be like putting a turbo on the stock maxima engine but with better internals .
cool...whatever keeps the car running properly man. that's what really counts.

yeah, that would be one sweet car! still, there's no replacement for... boost, lol. forced induction is the the easiest possible way to gain lots of power. plus, forced induction engines make nifty noises
