I found the cause of my stumbling problem below 3000
Ok so I've been driving my maxima around for about 2 months with what I though was a knock sensor problem because the self diagnose was showing that code. I got a new one and went to put it in but noticed how much of a bas*ard the job was, so I figured I'd wait for warmer weather. Since then I have replaced the cap and rotor, checked the maf sensor, temp sensor and I knew the plugs had been changed and the wires appeared to be new. yesterday I was picking through the engine bay and suddenly noticed a ticking noise every time the engine's idle would dip slightly, this was besides the tick from the broken and warped exhaust manafold :-(. For weeks I had been paging though countless threads and getting a little worried espically the ones about bad compression. I looked closely and sure enough there was a bright spark arcing from the wire to the valve cover. This wire also happened to be right above where the knock sensor enters the engine. I bought some wires and tossed them on, took a drive and my car is back to normal! Aparently the loss of spark was throwing off the knock sensor, and tripping a code on the ecu. This completely fixed the below 3000 rpm loss of power. so I guess I figured I'd give you guys a good laugh and tell everone to check those wires carefully!!!
