There is a lot more involved than just buying NOS. You will have to buy additional items to prevent from "blowing up" your Max. I am not sure what all is involved because Ihave never even considered supplying my baby with some NOS. I am sure that questions involving NOS have been answered before.

I'm no expert, somebody else with more knowledge could prob answer you better, but from what I've heard, to minimize damage to tranny/engine you want to run a lower shot of NOS...I'm not sure which is was somewhere between 50-65? Proper monitoring of your engine, exhaust, tranny, etc will keep you from taking out parts early. High octane fuel is a must, if you're going to be sprayin. hmm...not sure what else? btw...****..if you start sprayin with your max it'll be badass! you get that tourin wing on yet?

50 to 60 shot is more than enough. our trannies wont take more than that. also i think but im not sure u have to retard the timing of the car a little bit.

Whatever you get, it won't last too long with that JWT ECU. Advanced timing + NOS = bad

NOS is for winners!! Well first thing you need to buy is a NOS kit for the max. NOS, Zex, Nitrous Express all make kits. JWT also makes an ECU upgrade made for NOS. So buy the NOS ECU from JWT and use a 50-75 shot of NOS (to be safe). Anything over 100 shot have severe damage to the motor. Also install the NOS for Direct Port.. you will gain more power that way. There are also Dry, Wet, & Fogger setups. Take the time to do some research about NOS and you can learn alot. Super Street had a really good writeup about NOS in their June issue.

The JWT ECU......

advancs timing...which is not good when using NOS..either get the $450 JWT NOS add-on chip or go back to the stock ECU and adjust your timing manually!

yo...

jcwhitney.com had an NOS kit for like 375$ a while ago, mad people took advantage of the deal and got it, I think they sold out already but maybe you can get on a waiting list or some****? When you get NOS you need to upgrade some other things, maybe Fuel pressure regulator, bottle heater (for safety) some other things I dont remember what exactly..
For the tranny, aren't ya getting Don's ValveBody? that will help out most def. Then get a tranny cooler from Pepboys or Autozone for like 45$, maybe a Torque Converter if you want a big shot? I wouldn't mess with NOS for my car because I know that will be the end of my tranny, I still haven't decided if it's worth keeping it.. but, you can live with a 40-60 shot on the tranny with some enhancements.. plus yours is rebuilt so it will last, unless you messed it already, like I probably did lol

Cheapest I have seen is JCWhitney for 375.. Safest NOS kit on the market and most expensive is Venom NOS Kit which costs over 1G but gives you adjustable shots from
50 - 200. I have been running my ZEX kit with a stock fuel pump for quite some time with only the 55/65 shot.. I average maybe 2 uses a month.. I'm not much of a racer but I know it's there If I have to use it..

P.S.
I have to admit, I like the look on peoples faces when a riced out car pulls up next to me and a stock looking Maxima purges..

You don't have to buy.....

a chip with any nitrous the stock ECU is fine, you just have to retard the timing 2-4 degrees when using it! but since you already have the JWT performace ECU just send it back to them with $450 and get the NOS program added and you should have no worries. The Zex kit isn't designed to work with the JWT/NOS chip, but you can take a chance if you want, I think as long as you run 65 shot(which the chip is programmed to run) it'll be all good.

Most are but I have come across one or two that are actually fast.. e.g. When I first got my Maxima I had the unfortunate luck of racing a turbo Civic.. Turns out that same guy works at the performance shop that installed my Zex kit. Figure the odds on that happening..

JibaroMax....

why don't you just get the JWT/NOS kit form Cattman....its $950 for the entire kit which includes the JWT nitrous re-program and 65 shot NOS kit, seeing as how you already have the modified chip, thats pretty much your only option, unless you get the chip put back to stock specs...
