Installed VE tails...looks "different"

Hey guys, I was never really big on the VE tails, but I had a set from my parts car, and I thought I'll just throw them on my GXE, just to see how they look. I have to admit, I think it looks kinda cool. It also makes my car look more rare, and a bit more mean..i think
watcha guys think..

I am not a big fan of the GXE chrome, but I have had two VEs, so I am a little biased

I think the maxima would look really different and better with the middle lights like the rest of he car, body color. Does anybody have a picture of that?

VE tails look better than the GXE. i have the VE tails on '93 5-spd. and i also installed them on my '89 SE 5-spd before i sold it. i also took out the reflectors and amber pieces from the inside to make them clear. i was never fond of the chrome trim on our cars but little by little im gettin' rid of the chrome. i just did the grille the other day and matched the black emerald now i just need the mesh to intall on the grille and put my grille back on so that i won't have to c my jdm 350z horns.

VE all the way.. The other one looks pretty corny IMO, and the SE version doesn't look any better.

I have a VG SE but definitely prefer the VE SE tails. I have them but haven't installed them yet.

Of the two I like the VE tails, but I'm partial to the VG SEs myself. I've just had a problem with some of the dark trim peeling on the bottom of mine. Nothing a little touch up paint didn't fix right up though. As for the shaved trunklid, I just think it looks naked. It needs something besides the keyhole back there. You know, something that actually says its a MAXIMA?

are you sure its VE tails since you have a GXE...not saying someone didnt swap it or any thing but...the GXE tails from 92-94 look almost just like the VE tails. The difference is the GXE tails are a little lighter and have chrome trim around the white section of the tails. The VE tails have a little tint to them and use black trim around the white section of the tails.

Yeah, I saw your thread.. Some of them didn't look too bad, but I just think it looks incomplete without it. Not for these cars.

once you shave the center tail light, you have to had something back, like along the lines of the lexus is tail lights. that are just floating in there. I had that on my old mazda, but thats long gone.
