So I got a new problem...

So I parked my car in garage after I went to drop my lil brother off at work and as I was about to leave again I look at the garage floor and found a puddle of tranny fluid I inspected it closer and found it to be coming from the drivers side axle area. The axles and seals are new and as you all probably know the issues I have had with trannys so this makes me a little frustrated.

So here is what I am thinking happened..
  1. Axle needs to be re-seated
  2. Axle seal went bad needs replacement again (I bought nissan ones when I did the trany swap)
  3. Extreme hot weather has affected my seal and is causing it to expand and leak (It has been 100 + for past 6 days straight)

What do you all think?

Nut loose behind the steering wheel?

How big is the puddle?

Check for loose steering/suspension components on that side(axle may have partially come out)

It may just be a gouged seal,in that case, buy another seal and be very careful when reinstalling the axle again.

I let my car sit for past couple hours and it seems it has leaked about about half quart of fluid.. I am gonna go inspect it closer to veifiy if it really is the axle or something else.

After a close look the drivers side axle seem to have some how popped out. It had two finger lengths of space before it touches the tranny, I was able to feel the spindle . Can the alignment shop be blamed for this? I had it aligned 4 days ago weird that it happened after I took it to them…

I think I jinxed you by asking how the tranny is holding up

Driver side axle is no biggie. Pop it back in, secure the strut and replace the axle nut. Make sure you've got a cotter pin in there, there probably isn't one and the nut came loose.

Ok guys just fixed it, I poped the axle back in and filled the tranny up. Shes good as new

I do have camber bolts installed because none of the shops could properly align my car so a camber kit was there solution...

Alll I did was removed tire and axle nut and it slid right back into place. What would have caused it to pop out?

Anyone have and idea why it popped out? Is the shop responsible for it?

^^ +1. Or the circlip is worn. I usually have to jam the axle in/out like I'm humping an elephant.
