Well, I have decided to put my original project on hold since the racing bug has once again hit me with avengance. I was originally going to do a bit of a conversion to my rear and front.

Now, I just want 14's. Under whatever cost. I have in the past week, put on the PR CAI, I have a Catco hi flow cat, the Greddy SP catback with resonator removed, obvious weight reduction, I just purchased the new Kumho's ZR tires, and I just got my injectors cleaned.

Now, you may notice in my sig that I am burdened by the time wasting and gas starving Automagic. I am the proud owner of a VE.

My question, after that long intro, is with a ypipe, and a 65 shot of happy gas, could I finally get into the 14's? I am running at a 15.8 consistently. that was before the CAI when I was running the JWT popcharger and I have since added the hiflow cat and removed the resonator in the exhaust.

So, with my mods, the ypipe(10+hp) and the 65 shot of NOS, do you think that I could get into the 14's? I really want to do this, but I am not sure if I should just keep racing out the season with what I have and just hope for mid to low 15's or go ***** out and hope for some magic at the last race of the season?

Give me some thoughts. and don't flame me. I am dreaming, possibly an impossible dream, but I will not stop till my car does.

oh yeah, I just went over 150,000 miles as well, car is pulling like mad!

Definently.....

you'll be deep in the 14's!! you might wanna look into a valve body upgrade too so you don't blow your trans.....y-pipe and 65shot NOS will wear the trans out with the quickness!! good luck man...get them 14's!

Ummmm......

did you read my reply??? I think it answered your original question... you won't get 14's NA in an auto with out major engine or trans work, so NOS is the way to go!

Hey bro, my best run is still 15.3 at 90mph.
w/ just CAI/WSP Y/ and exhaust w/ no resonator.
i'm sure i could get hit a 14.9 w/ a few more things.
JWT chip for one and maybe a few other minor things, like the stock cat, and the fuel injector cleaning.
no problem hitting 14's w/ nos!

No NOS,Here is your recipe for 14's.Protorque Torque Converter,Trans Cooler,Don's Valvebody,CAI,Y pipe,Full exhaust,UDP,Jwt ECU.That should put you in 14's if you want NOS you could break 13's with some good tires and driving.VE AUTO POWER!

Just soemthing to think about......

it took enigne and trans work to get a fully modded 4th gen auto into the 14's so you've got something to shoot for.....if you plan on doing it on the stock engine, good luck to all who try if some of VE auto guys are already running low 15's then it shouldn't be any trouble I guess.....

it's all good man, you have been a tremendous help. I just need to know what it will take to be the fastest Maxima in the NW. Mtrai760 is shooting 100shot, Czar we all know is about to debut the first turbo'd VE, and Jonnymax is pretty fast all motor already.

I know that i will have to shoot, but I need to know the basics first. I need a tune up, a tranny reconditioning, perhaps an engine flush, and some intake manifold cleaning. then, I will run it and see what I am at with the ypipe and all. then, I will talk about NOS.
