Speedo sender

Does anyone know if the sender (the part that generates the speed signal) is the same in a Gen3 Max (car) as a Gen3 van (Quest)? Of course the engine/transmission is a direct swap, but some of the more minor bits aren't. Thanks.

Yeah it's on the tranny just like the car. Van has a digital cluster though. Hehe, the speed indication would be different anyway ... my bad, I changed the 70 profile Quest tires for 60 profiles so I guess it is a bit under-geared now. My Gen 4 speedo has stuck, too. Oh well, at least I have a radar detector.

you might want to check in to that some more if it looks the same it should work it just sends a pulse signal to the cluster then the board in the cluster figures out what to put the speedo at, the gears on the sending unit should be the same or it wouldn't fit into the tranny right to match up to the ring gear on the differential.

I've got a '91 SE and I can't seem to find the speedo sender on the tranny. Where is it located? I have the 5spd tranny
