How much would it cost to have a spoiler put on a GXE?

Gamezilla, I have a '91 GXE (gold). I got the Stillen GT deck wing installed on it. It did end up costing a lot because they had to mold/form the bottom part of the spoiler since mine was defective and wouldn't fit perfectly flat. Though, I think what they usually do for the GXE is use industrial strength "glue" to attach the spoilers. That is what they did to mine. I really didn't believe that glue would work so good but it is on there solid! In fact, since I don't have the money to continue my mods, I was going to remove the spoiler (it doesn't look right since my car is stock, too ricey) and they said I'd have to get another trunk lid since this was permanent! The installation with custom work and paint (matched the paint perfectly too) cost me $450. At least its not as expensive as a body kit would be.

It was $300, at the shop I got it done. There was $150 extra for the modification. Though, the place I went to is a little more expensive because they do about the best work in my city. You should usually be able to get the spoiler installed and painted at most places for under $300 I think. Oh, I almost forgot, the cost depends on the spoiler. Although this GT deck wing I got is big, it is plain and squared unlike those "wavy" designs in other spoilers, like on civics. That was a lot easier to paint but if you got one that is difficult to paint, its going to cost more. The best thing you can do is search around and talk to some shops you find. Take your car there and show them pics of the spoiler you want installed (if you don't have it). They can usually give you some idea about the price.

I got mine from Stillen. Its a very nice looking wing but it looks a lot better once you have a body kit and wheels. Checkout Maxmizd27's profile for a pic http://forums.maxima.org/member.php?...fo&userid=3293 He has other pics that really show off the spoiler w/ the stillen body kit but I can't remember where I saw them.
