since i installed my UDP i noticed a rubber burning smell. . .i thought maybe the belts had to break in. it's been fading, but still. . .only when the car is shut off.

with the engine off, get an eye perfectly in-line with the belts, and make sure everything is exactly parallel.. maybe you didn't get the pulley completely on and the belts are offset just a tad. ???

only other thing I can think of is that there was a coating on the pulley itself that's burning off.
