Soon to be back in a max!

Like the title says I'm picking up yet another maxima. I had a 4th gen that I had bought for my wife but she ran that car into everything and anything she could possibly hit. So I took the proceeds from that car and bought her a car 91 accord and I continued to daily my SE-R Spec V for a while well I finally found another maxima I wanted, it is a 3rd gen with 345xxx miles on it. It has sat in a barn for a year. The body is in great shape aside from a back window being busted out. Also the A/C was recently just fixed so it has air con!!!! Its dirty and definitely needs to be cleaned but it runs and drives and it will be in my possession this upcoming Saturday! Oh and did I say I am only paying 300 dollars for this car, I've been doing a lot of research so I have made a little bit of a list first of course is servicing, belts fluids etc... Next is getting the back window replaced, and ripping everything out of it and cleaning it out completely and steam cleaning seats and carpet and trunk. Then its off to the wreckers to locate a spoiler the SE tail lights and reflector I guess you should call it. Then finally I don't know if I should but I have been reading a bunch on this including the write up to turbo it and I am gonna start locating the turbo bits off a 300zx 84-87. I am super excited, oh and its an auto don't care for it but I already have a six speed so ehhh. The only question I have is will the fourth gen seats bolt right in I have a set of cloth seats just in case these seats cant be cleaned to well super neat freak when It comes to a clean interior. But I feel for the money I am paying I can not complain ahhh guys I am so excited!!! hopefully nothing will come up.

Awesome! Good job for rescuing the car too. I loved my 3rd gen. I think my favorite thing about the car were the blueish mirror glass. Awesome!

Thanks man! When I was younger a real close friend to my mom had a gun metal grey se I loved that car it was so smooth and quiet plus another thing I love is the look of it no one would suspect it I really hope to take all the turbo bits off the 300zx and make this car even more of a blast! even though its auto.

Good job! Price is right. Post back on how you make out with the turbo and seat fitment. I believe the infinity j30 seats would bolt right in if you wanna go leather.

P.s Check and make sure that no mice have done a number on the wiring harness or any electrical being it was parked in a barn. Good luck with it. Sounds like a pretty good score.

Thanks man and I don't think I am going to go leather yet it depends on how well the interior cleans up and if those 4th gen seats will bolt in, but most leather here in town is destroyed and I will I am still doing research on the turbo reading up old posts how it turns out and with the miles I am kinda second guessing it but at the same time I really want to! but I plan on checking out the wiring he is delivering the car to me and everything but he said the car started right up and move and everything. So I hope everything is atleast decent

Nice find. No 4th gen seats don't bolt right up. They have to be modified. And the autotragic isn't gonna last long with a turbo. Your talking full custom and $$$$ if you plan on fabbing up a 6spd in there. You'd do better with a FS5R30A ([92-94 SE]VE30DE 5spd vlsd trans). You'll need the axles had hubs to match.

Thanks for that info sucks because I have a full set of 4th gen seats from my old max that I switched to leather (bad choice) and yea I realized that after a bit more reading but I may just leave her alone and try to get this car to a million miles because so far from what I understand its all original with 3xxxxx miles to jump off with so idk only thing that sucks is no sunroof lol but we will see guys Saturday is right around the corner money in hand so im ready!

How's the undercarriage/wheel wells/strut mounting perches/frame? The body looks good on her...my boy had an '89 SE with almost 400k w/almost mint exterior/interior with no rotting anywhere but a small spot on passenger side front door where the water drains out. It was original motor/trans and sold for 1000 bucks easy.

I appreciate that. Its been a while and I started to confuse it with the z31/32 turbo trans which has an A at the end.

You probably want to go to myspoiler.com and get the fiberglass OEM replacement. The original factory ones are made of foam and detereate horribly.
