Driver door off alignment.

Maybe just from the years of opening and closing but my driver door is probably about a 1/2" lower so i have to pick it up a little to close it easily otherwise it kinda gets stuck on the metal hinge thing. How do i go about adjusting the door or is there something i have to change?

pick up new(er) hinges and it should solve your issue. looks like lower hinge is missing a bushing.

I picked up a set last year from tascaparts.com. took some time to get though.

You don't need new hinges, all you have to do is loosen the hinges, separate them from the body and and re-tighten them while holding the door in place. It's a possible one man job, but easier with two people. It's true the cause of the sagging is wear, but unless you plan on your car being upside down, readjusting them will solve the problem indefinitely, you will have to remove the fender.

I shim the door at the bottom hinge on every Nissan I work on. Works every time and costs nothing.

Shim with washers or pick up new hinges. Swapping the hinges is a 2 man job.

so the fact there's a missing bushing here due to wear and tear doesn't require a new/used hinge? it's not even with the hole...that's ok? some shims will fix that?

Did not notice that, I keep my graphics driver brightness at the lowest setting, and can't see that unless I raise it to the default 0. In most cases, what I suggested corrects the issue.

Is there any way i can just cut that old pin out and replace that with new bushing instead of having to replace the whole hinge?
