Anyone Installed a ESpeedGoGo FSTB on VE?

It's about $20 cheaper than the Courtesy bar, and there's one on Ebay that will probably go for even cheaper. I'm just curious to see if anyone has one on there VE. If the Courtesy bar is better let me know and I'll just spring for that.

thanks,
ila

If it says it will fit a 1999-2002 it will most likely fit your VE. If you want to play it safe, just get the Courtesy unit. That one fits for sure.

I guess what I meant was is it comparable in quality to Courtesy bar? Strength, thickness, etc.

Lots of FSTB's are made by the same company. The bars Courtesy sells, are also sold at other Nissan dealers. So there is a chance that this bar is exaclty the same. The only real way to know is buy it.

Ok, one more question will the 95-99 FSTB fit a VE? or is it only the 99-02 FSTB's that fit?

thanks,
ila

Well, the 95-00 engines aren't as tall as the 01-02 3.5L engines so if the bar narrows it down to JUST 95-99 or 95-00, chances are it's not tall enough to clear the the 01-02 engine and therefore not tall enough to clear ours either. That's the reason I tried this bar - engine height. The bars made for the 4th Gens aren't tall enough.

Basically if the bar is specifically approved for 01-02 or looks just like the Courtesy 5th Gen brace (in profile) it should work.
