1/4 mile times question
If I race a car in 1/4 mile and lost by 2 car legth and my time was 16.6 and I put some bolts on and drop my time 0.7 secs, I will beat tha same car that I lost by 2 car? if so, how many cars I will be in front of him?
Thanks in advance

well if you really wanted to, you could probably actually figure that out also knowing your trap speed, and doing a little basic math, or you could just put those bolt-ons on and go see for yourself...i'm sure you'll be putting the bolt-ons on either way right?

I remember back when I was street racing my Chevelle we would always say as a rule of thumb that every tenth of a sec. was about a car length now of course that will change with faster or slower cars we were talking about mid to high 12 sec.(I ran around 12.5 to 12.7) cars back then.
I don't know how true this was it was just a rule of thumb we used for cars that didn't go to the track but would street race and we would guess the times.
I guess this probably doesn't help but it did bring back some fun memories. ahh the good old days before wife and kids

that car prolly weighs a good couple of hundred pounds less than yours. With mods and good driving you could close the gap, but hondas respond well to mods, and weighing as much as they do, they are quick.
