2k2 VTC into a VE??? whaaaaa!!!

I knew that would get some attention. Anyway I sound like a newbie, but I am curious to find out. I know the new Altima and Maxima have went back to VTC technology and I know the 3.5 is basically the same block size but with different internals. My question is do you guys think the VTC's from the 2k2 would work on the VE??? I know the 2k2 is quite and have heard of rebuilt VTC's failing again, so maybe the new technology can help rid the VTC problem from the VE.

Do u still have 2 maximas? why not try it out, its worth a shot. What would be the point though? just wondering. Performance or just reliability?

Like one and a half, it is not fully mine to tinker with yet. I dont think I can get the 2k2 VTC's cheap, I would like to know the specs if anyone has access to the VE's and 2k2. Also sort of performance but mostly reliability, performance because when VTC's go bad you do lose a little and reliability because the 2k2 is sooo quite and I would imagine they wouldnt bring the VTCs back if they did not do it right this time.

Aren't the new VTC's continuously variable, while the ones on the VE engine are either on or off. You would probably need a new ecu.
