FSTB Installed

I got a FSTB off of ebay for $32 shipped and I just installed it. I had to adjust the overall length a little and I tried to make each side equally spaced, but the drivers side has a few more cm of threading showing between the bar and the bracket that attaches to the strut tower then the passengers side. This isn't a problem right? Also, should there be any play in the bar at all? I tightened the bolts that go through the very end of the bar and the stut tower brace. I made it tight enough so that the bar couldn't move if you tried to wiggle it around. This won't cause any problems will it?
Thanks
I know the fstb is rediculously easy, but I just wanted to make sure about stuff.

mine is tight and havent had any problems. besides why would u want it loose for? its on your struts to keep them from flexing. so if its loose, youre defeating the whole purpose.

Tighten it with a torque wrench to about 30 +/- 2 according to www.maximadriver.com (shameless plug for Cheston)

i'm pretty sure he's talking about tightening the center bar, not the upper strut mounting nuts.

I turned it by hand until it woulnd't go any more. Then turned it with a rag and a good set of pliars about 20 more times. Very tight. Car handles sweet now.

The car feels much tighter up in the front now. Buying it off of ebay saved me money. The install was obviously easy.

No, I did not buy guages off ebay.
