Engine limping. No CEL and no code.
Last night I replaced the timing ring on my UDP with the new one that RVM sent me. I got the car all put back together and pulled the code for the CEL just to make sure nothing else was coming up. The only code was for the crankshaft position sensor and that was left over from when the old timing ring was on. So I cleared the code and went for a drive. The car started bucking, stuttering, and cutting out in the general area between 1700rpm and 2500rpm and started to do it again around 4000rpm. (I didn’t take it any higher.) It also changes the exhaust / intake note whenever this bucking / stuttering occurs. I thought that maybe I accidentally left the ECU in Diagnose / limp mode but I double-checked it and that doesn’t seem to be the issue. I have no clue what I need to do know. Any ideas?
MAFS!!! I had bad MAFS wiring for over a year and RARELY
got a code (even more rare was that the code was for the MAFS).
Did you accidently cut any wires?
Did you accidently pull any wires?
I'd say -- check your MAFS wiring...
Unless you think whatever you changed is making your life hell now?

It was the RVM pulley. I took it off and put my stock one back on yesterday so I could take the car in to the dealer today. It ran fine with the stock pulley.
Time to call RVM up and have them tell me that there is no problem with my pulley and refuse to give me my money back.
