BOMZ Hybrid intake review

for those thinking about buying a BOMZ hybrid intake system off ebay.. here is some info from my expereiences..

i got mine from ebay from bestcarparts.com off ebay for $43

cons with the system- it does not come with a maf adaptor for your filter, you will have to spend another 30mins - hour makeing one out of your stock adaptor from inside the stock airbox(this is my biggest complaint)

- the blue hose that is given as an air feeder or whatever it is that connects to the the top of the engine block to the midpipe does not fit

-the hose attachments on the BOMZ midpipe are short and you will have to strain a little to get the hoses on.

- one of the clamp loops things i got were broken.

-the filter is smaller than normal intake filters.

im not saying dont buy a BOMZ kit.. because functionally they work great after you install them, but you will have to put in more effort into geting the job complete. i would say it is worth the price,im content, but if you want a smooth install, get a different brand. my couple cents..

after looking at all availble ebay intakes.. get the grey cai setup with the yellow couplers.. the inlet pipes on the midpipe are long and there is an adapter. only around 20 bux more and u have option of cai or hybrid intake.

I didn't get it from ebay, but my bomz setup w/ the blue couplers came w/ a MAF adapter. I agree w/ the filter being smaller, I don't want to use it as it's branding is questionable. I'd replace it w/ a K&N or Apexi filter - I don't like to take chances.
