odometer replacement?
odometer replacement?
i was wondering if there is a way to manually change the mileage on an odometer off of the car. the reason i ask is that i need to replace my cluster, and i found one at the junkyard, but the mileage is different. california law says you can put a new odometer in as long as the mileage is the same, or else zero. then it has to be put on record.
any help would be appreciated! thanks!

You can replace your odometer, just make sure that you either have it rolled to match your current reading or record the previous mileage to the new odometer and keep the records. Remember, odometer fraud is ILLEGAL and can be punishible by jail time and A LOT of fees!!!
