customenterprise do sell them at 500 for the 95+maxima. But I'm still skeptical about about the power increase for the maxima with this header. It'll be really nice to find someone who have dyno result of it

this is interesting, all i hear are bad things about the OBX headers for the 4th gens. and now you guys want dynos of the gains? I thought these headers were crap?

I would be delited to know that the gains on these are nice compaired to the catman headers.. concidering they are like 300 bucks cheaper...

lets get the numbers up so i can spend more money! lol

yes, they should. We are test fitting a set and will have the final results of fitment and power in two weeks.

Give me two weeks for that dyno!!!! Then we can put a end to this endless debate. The quality is actually pretty good. The welds are good, the polishing is excellent, flanges nice and thicker and Hotshot.

The question is, will they make power? If they do, great, I'm gonna sell of bunch of these. Nobody will have to pay the high C man prices, you'll pay the always better than fair B man prices

If they don't make significant power then I scrap this entire project.

Got the extractors in yesterday... They look great, polishing, welds, and materals. All look real good. I'll be installing these headers this weekend. I'll report back with the results.

How far apart will the dynos be made or do you already have a dyno with all the same mods except the header? Like it's been said in EVERY header dyno thread, we need stock vs header, stock vs y-pipe.

In a perfect world we would be able to do all of the testing we wanted. But in the real world this header install will only have 2 different dynos. 1fstmax already has his dyno for his current setup with Y-pipe and other goodies, and then the next one will be with the header setup.

If there is a 7-9HP gain over the current setup then it is safe to say that this header setup is making over 20HP to the wheel vs. stock.

I'm really hoping that it ends up that way.

That's all I'm asking for. A DYNO that shows what the gain is over the y-pipe. The only different thing should be the header.

the guy doing the dyno is making 193whp and 184tq with the mods he has now, after dyno anything above that is gained by headers since he already was using y-pipe along with other mods even 5-6whp would be great since buying a ss y-pipe runs on the $200 so the other $100 would be the ss headers not bad

damn I wish I didn't have my y-pipe on right now and have $300 in my pocket, I would buy that set up fro ssl chrome (even though that their welds suck sometimes). I had their stainless steal exhaust on my 240 for some time (throught winter, spring, and summer) and it looked brand new and welds help up fine, I liked it. Some should get that set up
I'm almost 100% sure that you would see some nice gains with those 25-30whp is my guess.

Well bad news... The headers did not fit. So it's back to the stock manifolds. On the front bank, the pipe coming down from cylinder number 5 hits the motor mount. I couldn't find away around this. Either the header has to be changed, or the motor mount has to be cut. I didn't want to cut my motor mount, so i put everything back on. This sucks.. Oh well.. I hope whoever makes these headers changes their jig. Also the collector at the cat is 2", I feel that it should be more like 2.25" or 2.5" to match the cat...

did you wrote to obx to let them know i think that even when you bough your header second hand they may solve this problem or at least they can tell you what to do

That's a long sentence, not true either. If you haven't noticed the y-pipe on the headers is different meaning that the power gains come from both the header and the different y-pipe.

i know they are different but assuming both y-pipes made same gains then the other hp if any would come from header but a lot got dissapointed by the last news

There was a dyno or 2 but they were apparently so bad that the guy making the header told the testers not to release them. Some time later they started to make the y-pipe to go along with the header.

Weird. Your are manual right? I would call them and see why they don't fit.

DAMNIT!!!! I can't believe they didn't fit....Generally speaking though, many times venders want/need feedback to see how improvements can be made. I guess the next step would be to contact OBX directly and see what they can do to remedy this situation and hopefully get the improved products out. Thanks for the try though 1FASTMAX....I guess I need to start saving more ducuts to get those Cattman headers....I only wish there were another way....

And tell them to fix the rear down pipe merge. Make it smoother.
