engine knock/ticking noise!!! WTF

engine knock/ticking noise!!! WTF

hey does anyone have a noticable tickign/knockign sound when they put their ears close to the engine????? please respond and i dont think its a bomb

do you use 93 octane or the cheap stuff???

it is most likely your injectors, or the IACV.

If your refering to detonation, it wouldn't be happening while the car is at idle.

so if it is the injectors how would you go about solving the problem, because i have a similar problem, and gas additives have not helped.

Its not a problem - its just a characteristic of the injector design.... nothing you can do about it.

yeah, this is defenatly NOT a problem ! thats how injectors work.

also where is the Front Left Heated O2 sensor is the the one one the y pipe closest to the cat?

you are hearing a combination of things which are perfectly normal for the most part, you are hearing lifter and valve noise, spark plug ignition, and injectors pulses....
