Should be fine unless the diameters (of the tires) differ greatly then you would have to drive slowly to a service station to avoid messing up the drivetrain due to the rotational speed difference between the remaining good tire and the donut.

well
if you follow the correct upsizing, your 17's should be the same diameter as the stock configuration
So if you didnt have to adjust your speedometer and odometer when changing your rims, they should still be within spec.

Actually you should NEVER drive very far with a NON-full size spare on either of you drive wheels. Because even though they are near the same diameter...they are still different, and you can mess up your drivetrain. The SMART thing to do, even though it takes more time, is IF you get a flat on one of your front tires.....swap a rear with the front and put the spare on the rear.....you can drive til the spare runs out of tread on the rear...although I don't recommend it.
