Jet Ecu

Jet Ecu
I can't find any info on the JET ecu upgrade, I remember a while ago hearing it's crap, but without any real support. I have a 97 auto, and I would really like to upgrade the ecu, but I got a 96 auto ecu that makes my car, only while at a complete stop, rev up to 1000, then drop back to 600, slowly over the course of 30 seconds or so. It does this over and over again every 30 seconds. I think that Jet might be my only option, and they say on their website that they make a unique program for each car, so you can have them program in anything that you want. Also, it is only like $300! Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks for your help, if I do decide to get the ecu upgraded, I will definately go with JET.

I asked Cheston a while ago, but he didn't know why, neither did Danny at Technosquare. They both suggested trying another 96 ecu. I bought the ecu for like $130 at a junk yard, so I will probably get another 96 ecu and see if the problem still happens. If I can't get the ecu working, there are other ways to acheive it's results(remapping A/F curve, ignition timing, etc.) right?

Why are you going with the JET?
If you do get the JET, dyno and post your results.

sounds like the ecu you have might be malfunctioning, lol ! i would stick to matching up your car with another 96 ecu that matches your tranny, trim. test it out and if its go, use technosquare or jwt. jwt has a much longer waiting period, MUCH LONGER !
check your ecu again, make sure you have it snug and plugged in firmly and give it another go.
not much is really known about the jet upgrade, not many people go that route. i would just play it safe and go with the proven ecu's. good luck
