you have to swap some pins to make the 95/96 ecu work in the 99s

99 ECUs have different harnesses and Emissions systems, this is probably like the 10th time I've read something like this and I'll give the same answer. The only example I can give was from my car, I had an issue where my 96 had an ECU from a 98 or 99, the rear 02 sensor for a 96 has only 3 prongs on the plug, 98-99 has 4... obviously its not interchangable. It would give me a CEL immediately even after I cleared it. It took an electric guy to check it out for me.

thats impossible you cannot run a 99 ecu in a 96ecu and a 96 ecu in a 99 the pins for the fuel pump and the position camshaft sensor`s are in different places. you car would not start.unless you moved the pins around

you can try switching the pins around. i just havent had the time to do it..i pretty sure if you switch the pins to the correct pinouts of the 96 ecu you can get it to work.i have the picsout for te 96 and 99. but right now my car is been worked on with other problems. by the summer i will get it working. if you want pm me with your email and ill send you the spread sheet i have for the ecu differences
