Wow, that sux. Definately contact Exedy about that. I havent heard of anyone else with that problem.
My Exedy stills shifts fine.

On another note, do you always lay your wheels face down on the ground like that? Your not worried about scuffing them up?

I'm sorry to hear about that - at least you have the know how of installing and troubleshooting clutches. That's terrible...this was stage 2, right? I'm glad that my 5th gen setup has worked without a hitch [knock on wood].

Is this the same disc as the eBay one? I got the eBay kit, and the disc is an Exedy, but the PP is offbrand. I don't know if I want to put it in with my 3.5

I have no idea if it's the same. This disc resembles an ACT disc....almost.

I got an eBay Exedy kit as well - still uninstalled. The clutch cover has the Daikin/Exedy stamp on it, but the disc does not. It looks much different from Bijan's, actually. The only stamping on my disc is "SECO," and I have no clue what that's all about.

That sucks, send it back to them and demand for a new one. maybe you should go with ACT clutch kit.

i notice something, Did you cover the lable with black marker on the clutch? or it came like that? that could the reason why yours went bad. You can mention that to them.

yea they warranty the clutch...they have to 'inspect it' themselves. THEN send me a new one.

zack - i took everything off by myself today, i know you can do it.

my only problems now are the drivers side axle doesnt want to go in, and the slave cylinder is being a b*tch when trying to line up the 2 bolts.

Ahhh what a day

bijan is this the clutch you bought supposed to be the exedy stage 1 racing ? there seems to be some confusion on several of the different exedys that are for sale ?

Please pardon my ignorance, but will this cause any permanent damage to the tranny? I have a stage 1 from a GD awhile ago (about 5k on it now) in there. If it just means the clutch might have to be replaced sooner than expected then I won't worry about, but if it could kill my tranny then I would like to know now. Thanks for indulging my stupidity .

That clutch looks a bit glazed over too. Not good for 1400 miles and it not having to hold alot of power, but it could just be the pic angle.

I have regular Exedy for well over 10K now. So far no problems. That's definitely a defect.
