1156 or 1157??

What type of light bulbs go into the corner lights without any customizing...1156 or 1157?

What type of bulb goes into the bumper lights?

Thanks :

are you asking for a bulb that will be bright like the second filament of the 1157? then get the 1156...as it's only the high filament of the 1157...so you won't have to cut the nub and do all the customizing...

How so since the 1156 still has 2 nubs on it? He'll have to cut one off anyway won't he?

how does 1156s work where 1157s go? am i reading this right? 57s have 2 contact points on the bottom, while 56s have 1. how does that work?

i think the contact that will be made on the 1156 bulbs in the corners will light it up to how bright 1156 bulbs always are

the 1157 bulbs have 2 filaments dim and bright i believe the bright appears to be the same as the 1156

i know this is confusing i have never tried this but i believe it is correct

1157 2nd filament = 1156

if memory serves, that is correct...the 1156 is an 1157 bulb without the dual filaments, and the only reason you cut the nub on the 1157 is so it conacts opposite so the higher filament contact point is always being activated...whereas on the 1156, there is only one to be activated...

ya i know cause u cant twist it in with the 1157 numbs if you try to invert it but i alwaus thought that an 1157 on the higher filment was brighter than a regular 1156 bulb
