WOW!! Listen to the attitude of some of these idiots. **** Em??? WTF?? Dude I got some HIDs in my I30 an I had the same attitude until I saw what my car really look like to oncoming traffic. That's why I goin to do a retro. But I WISH I saw you comin down the road with all that glare and with that attitude, I'd personally make sure you car landed head first in a ditch.

I personally don't care when I get flashed, and it's only happeneda handful of times with my 7000k McCulloch Kit. I aimed them down to perfect angle..
Now people know not to cut out infront of me, and slow drivers always move out my way. I get tons of compliments by random people on the street. A lot of newer truck have glare like crazy with their stock lights and fog that bothers me but I don't cry about it. I will never go backto stock from HID's..
And about the police.. LOL what a joke the cops have too much important things to worry about like all the crime..

For those with HID's, just aim them right!
i took about an hr aiming my hid's and i never got flashed by a cop here in So. Cal and the cops here are major PIGS! Cops would be facing me and never said anything.
i pointed them low, but to the point where i can see well.

so after you welded a shield onto your HID Base, did you reaim the lights higher again? or you just left them pointed toward the ground directly in front of your car? I think mine are aimed as far down as they will go at this point. I haven't been flashed since i did this, but at the same time i'm not really getting as much light on the road as i would like. retro fitting seems like a good idea, but seems pretty costly and time consuming to do it right. Also, i feel like the only one in here that doesn't have any welding equipment/experience.....
