TrackSmart, where does the square connector (cream in color) connect to? Does the oem harness have this type of connector to accept the new ones from the new tails?

The new tails just have wires and sockets - no hard plastic housing. Here's a picture (before fixing this one - it has a frayed/broken section of wiring if you look closely at the pic.)

Those sockets are from the inner tail I think. It just plugs into where your old harness was.

even if they do make the fitment better it still wont matter cus they look like ****.

Thanks for your deep, thoughtful comment. I'll be sure to get your expert advice before wasting money on my next mod. I'll just take these nice looking taillights and throw them in the trash now since you don't like them. Thanks again.

This thread is to try to fix any problems with th e red clears, if you have an opinion on how you think they look, make your own thread.

Can we just be happy they came out with red clears for 95/96, and also save some $$$ from doing the 97 trunk conversion!!

Sounds like you have the sockets mixed up. Sockets with the 1156 bulbs are for the reverse and signal lights. I brought the red/clears myself, and they look and work great.
