changing coil packs, how?

He said the code specified that there was a misfire on cylinder #3. I told him to change the #3 coil. He did but he said the car was still misfiring. Are you putting in new our used coil packs? If used, don't forget to take the bottom end off and clean the contact end where the spring hits. They often get corroded. Put electrolyte lube on the contact to keep it from re-oxidizing.

I just took out the coilpacks and looked them over hoping to see some obvious signs that would tell me which one was the problem. They all looked great. I wonder if there could be something else causing the problem. (random, momentary roughness when idling) Anybody have any ideas?
