Key Problems

So it finally happened after 2 years. I lost my one and only key. The biggest problem is i live 2 hours away from the nearest nissan dealership, and the want to charge upwards of 200 bucks for 2 new keys. If any one else has any suggestons please feel free to tell me.

Thanks- Colin

Yeah ive found keys online thats not the problem. In the 4th gen and up max's the put computer chips inside keys for security messures. Ive got the key unprogrammed for 50 bucks but i need to get my car to a nissan dealership, which would be no big deal if i lived in a city but the closest one to me is 2 hours away. They HAVE to have the car and the key there to reprogram the key.

i think only 99's have the chip in them. anyways what you can do is see how much a tow truck will charge to get you there, if it's over 130 bucks sign up for AAA plus (basic will charge 3 bucks for every mile) and have them tow your car to the dealership

I carry AAA cuz that way I won't have to worry if my car breaksdown on long trips...
