A nitrous installation demands proper air/fuel delivery, cooler spark plugs, proper tuning, good cooling capacity, and other nitrous hardware like gauges, window switches, and more. This is not a simple deal, OK? School yourself on this project well. Take your time. Do it right. Be safe.
You should never run on nitrous for more than 15 seconds at a time. Anything more puts an incredible thermal load on the engine. And if you run your engine lean under nitrous boost, your aluminum pistons may weld themselves to the cylinder walls. KA-BOOM! Take care. Good luck.
I just heard a new nitrous antecdote out at the track the other night... It seems somebody dared their buddy (?) to put an 800-HP shot of nitrous on his engine with no other upgrades. He was game. The installation was made, and the car was pushed to the start. He left the starting line in first gear without nitrous boost. Just after he shifted into 2nd is when he hit the button. Just after he hit the button is when his engine turned itself into a mass of red-hot ballistic objects! It was truly torn asunder...
Stories like these are sensational, so you hear about them nearly every time the word "nitrous" is mentioned. But a few of the regulars on this board have been problem-free with nitrous to date. In fact, I am impressed with the professional, careful, methodical attitude they applied to their nitrous installations. Respect, not fear, seems to rule the day. Good luck.

I've wanted Nitrous since BEFORE the movie...
But I don't have the money and I haven't finished modding everything else yet. (Nitrous is going on last because of it's more tempermental nature.) But I want to get a supercharger, too. Anybody have any idea what this combination will behave in? I know it's doable because there's at least one person on this board who did it, but I'm not sure the best way to do it. Would a wet system be better over a dry system with the inclusion of a supercharger? This is why I'm waiting another year to put NOS on my car, because I want to do it right... Plus I want to get those Gen II coilovers and they'll break my bank for sure...

It just seems like the wrong way to go.
Its all a matter of opinion. NOS can be 'turned off', and the car will perform exactly like stock. A supercharger isn't like that however. Do I have NOS? Yes. Will I be putting in a S/C? Yes. I just want to experience the difference for a while.

You misunderstood...
I don't want one or the other, I want to get both. A Supercharger@10psi with a 65 shot (if possible) of NOS. I'm just not sure if that would be too much boost on top of the added pressure, which would be the best method of injecting the Nitrous, wet or dry, etc. I was asking for other people's opinions. I don't plan on using the NOS on streets, just the track, but the S/C will be enough for me there.

Got a point on the push the button thing, but having the power their all the time will make you use it more. So the more you use the power, SC or nitrous, the more wear your motor will have. Properly tuned each of these systems will wear your motor the same per power out put level. So, a dailey driven supercharged motor will wear faster than a dailey driven nitroused car of equal power level, simply because you will use the supercharger more.
But hey, I just bought a supercharged motor that will run nitrous, so I dont really care about engine wear.
If you wana play you gotta pay!!!
Ps: Dont be a moron
