Fixxin dem hurtin saw blades
Time takes it toll on aluminum rims. Winter and salt FTL.
Yuck city, clear coats peeling, tons of corrosion....
Curb rash!
Step 1 grind the worst stuff.
Step 2 DA sand that bish
Step 3 wash it, mask of the tire

Good option for those in that boat. Mine are still near-perfect after 12 years of winter and salt in the northeast, though, and I prefer the polished face to a plain silver face, so I'll keep mine

1) They used to look mint up until I stopped driving the car. I used to douche them like 2x a week. My dad doesnt do jack.
Yea the polisched looks good, but the paint looks much better than B4. Anything is an improvement.
2) 4x4 gap on 5 spd springs and HP's. My dad likes the wheels and would prolly trade with me.
3) Clear coat.... oh yea well I havent used clear on any of my wheels, doesnt really matter much I guess.
4) I cant install them till 1 tire gets fixxed. Nail in the tread FTL, then zero PSI+driving on it=bad side wall.
5) Chances are these may become my winter wheels, wHeel see! Either way pix will come with them installed.
6) ^^werd. 10char
7) Close enough
8) Lots of time over the corse of a few days. Id say at least 6 hours total. Id do one, wash it, let it dry, start another, wash it, paint the 1st one, start a 3rd one, ect. I used amost 2 full cans of paint, which is about 4-5 coats on each wheel. My bronze wheels took a few hours and 1 can.

they do loook very much improved from the original state. nice job. but would there be any way to retain the machine finished look? i would like to polish them to be something like the stock look but not so much that they would be a mirror finish.

I hit the worst spots with a 4.5" angle grinder with a sanding wheel. The grit was a bit low, 100 grit maybe, but it did the trick. I then used an orbital sander (basically a dual action) to smooth it all out. For the holes I used a drill and wire brush, then hand sanding the contours.
