Interesting, e46 should fit in there with no problems, tsx might be a hack job cause of the width. e46 puts out pretty good color anyway with the shield mod. My question is how come Paradox and Custom Enterprise are missing out on this? How is it some eBay guys show up with these lights. Anywayz, someone needs to photoshop the ae'd ones on a black car.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Why didn't other companies come out with this before Ebay

lol i seriously doubt theyll start selling the headlights with projectors..but i agree with you. if in some case they could do that everyone would want one and then it would no longer be unique...with that being said i wouldnt mind still getting one. i love the output on the retros....

If they came with projectors they'd likely be crappy halogen-style projectors like the 5th gen Ebay lights that you'd wanna rip out anyway if you wanted serious HID output. These are fine.

STFU.. eBay gnomes make everything, they'll get you.

I had a friend that loved his Toyota and spoke badly about the weird issues Nissans have. After that we never heard from him again, but there was a sticker on his car. It read "NISgnomes."

question on the wiring of the 9004 socket. for the highbeams, i can't judge by the picture, however, is it just a hot wire coming from there? or does each bulb have a ground wire to the ground socket?

I can't understand why u guys say AE'd one and the AE mod. the freekin AE headlights were not black. Why not "the smoked ones" or "the black ones" AE'd sounds so stupid to someone that know what the AE headlights look like.

ummmmm....

AE ones are 20th anniversary edition maxima... referring to 2001 maximas that came out with little extra options and was called "maximum maxima"... They came out with anniversary edition headlights which had black trim around the headlights...

If those aren't black then their you or me is colorblind. And it's not me. Besides, AE'd is just a nickname someone coined when they did a similar mod to 4th gen headlights mimicking the look of AE 5th gen lights.

can you still do the fog light/corner light mod with these new lights? and have you changed the bulbs or kept the ebay ones?

If you're talking about the fog light rewire, that gets wired up to the bumper lights (ie. not affected by headlights). The corner bulbs use the OEM socket, so yes you can still do the bright-**** corner light mod. But if you melt the housing, you'll have to buy a whole new headlight as opposed to just the corner.

Do you think it would be ok to just throw some HIDs in there without projectors or would it be glaring all over the place??

Those look sweet, fitment looks really good on the corners but the light output is horrible.
Those would definately need a retro fit. Bad thing is the backside looks like it would need some major hacking. Not sure how much room would be left for mounting area once its been hacked up.
I was considering these for a reto fit, but I will wait for somone else to be the pioneer.

I dunno about that.. Fitment, hell yeah, but as far as beam pattern and overall looks I'll stick with Cefiros which are also more classy IMO.

You're gonna put R34 copy headlights on a damn Maxima, when we have the true J.M. equivalent with the Cefiros, you just gotta do some work to make them look nice.

You can't beat dual reflectors. The R34s win. And the 'true JM' equivalents don't even fit in our cars. Equivalent my a'ss. The R34s are the answer all 4th genners have been looking for as far as headlamp options go. Finally the aftermarket is opening up just a lil bit.

I'd rather sport bolt-on R34 style headlights with perfect fitment (which look great by the way), than do permanent irreversable modification to make cefiro headlights look good: cutting the support bracket and bodywork on the fenders to eliminate the gap.

Also, everyone is basing their opinion of the beam pattern solely based on my perception of it. I am not an expert when it comes to lighting and I can't post decent night pictures due to lack of camera. Someone needs to post pictures and do a proper analysis/review of the beam pattern before anyone really bashes on it. After a few more nights with it, I think the lights are just fine. They spit out light as an inverted triangle from both headlights, with sharp cut offs on the sides (ground on left and ride side of car). They light up the road and I don't have any problems driving at night, it's just the beam pattern was different from stock and it takes time getting used to it.

he's gotta point. i dont mind modding my car but i do want to beable to return it to stock if i need to someday, the cefiros make that kind difficult. but these lights are quite the tasty!

I'll start a retrofit. I have a leftover pair of TSX bulb holders laying around.

Nice, very curoius to see how it turns out. The TSX's are what I would like to use if I did do them.
