17x7, +18 offset...stick out?

I plan on buying used Work VS in 17x7 with a +18 offset. The tires that i will be putting on these wheels are 225/45/17. My question is how far will these stick out, if any at all? I do realize that most people have an offset of +35 to +40, but their wheels are 8+ inches wide, these are 7 inches wide. It should look pretty perfect on the back but i'm worried about the front. Anybody know, better yet, any pictures of similar offset and width on a max?

Also, my car is NOT slammed, i have 2.5-3 finger gap right now, so its ok if they're in line with fenders, they won't get near touching them with stiff-azz ksports.

a 17x8 30mm offset wheel already sticks out the front fender on a maxima, i can't imagine how a 18mm off set would look. oh and kiss good bye to your wheel bearings..

I think it will be flush with a 215 or 225 tire. And I thought there's extra stress on the wheel bearings only when using spacers because it relocates the mounting point of the wheel?

Agree..I have 17x7.5 +35 offset, and it's perfect in front (almost in line withe fender. The rears are not tucked n much at all. I'll try to get some pics when I put them back on, now that the weather is better.

+18 will be too much, and may stress your bearings as stated.

a 17x7 wheel means there will be about 1/2inch less on both sides of the wheel.
30mm - 18mm = 12mm ~ 1.2cm
.5in ~ 1.27cm

ultimately it will depend on tire width

Good replies, thanks. Reason as to why i want these instead of wide ones is because i'm getting a relatively good price on them, i can use my current tires, they look nice, and i don't really need wide wheels for anything, they would just slow me down.

According to the offset calculator, these will stick out only 4mm more than a 8 inch wide with +35...ewuzh, that would be EXACTLY the same as your 17x8 wheels with the 31mm offset that you have up front, and 17x9 with 44mm in back which i consider a PERFECT fit. Glad i clicked on your cardomain, these should look great. I guess we'll see if the deal goes through. Any other replies/suggestions are welcome!

I have 10mm spacers in the rear so it is effectively a +34 offset. +44 was a little sunken in for me.

It should stick out a little less than an inch. Not a big deal. And your wheel bearings should be fine.
