DE-K have different mounts/brackets?

In the process of a swap and the front and rear mount brackets from the 2000 DE-K motor don't all line up with my DE bracket. I thought this was a direct swap? DO i need to buy 00-01 F&R brackets? Will they work with my existing motor mounts??

DE-K from my understanding is the same VQ block, should be same mounts I would think. Just different heads / cams. You sure you're not backwards or have the mounts reversed F - B ???

yeah i would assume that you would be able to use your existing mounts. the block is damn near identical to 95-99. there have been a few peeps who have this swap recently. get a hold of them for some advice cause im almost positive that they use their existing mounts.

and a fyi the coolant log, cams, and intake is different and thats about it. little stuff here and there but the block is pretty much identical

Are you talking about the timing cover mount by any chance? that one might be different, I know that they are different on the 3.5's, aka if you take (at least some of the parts) from a 5.5 gen mount and try to put it on a 4th gen set-up it won't interchange, I don't remember if it's the whole mount related to the timing cover or just individual parts but I know between 4th and 5,.5 it is different for the TC mount and I think it is diffirent on the de-k one as well, so than I geuss it is just parts of the mount, arrgh, I wish I could remember, the only thing I do remember is that the little black top plate on the timing mount is shorter (or longer) on the 3.5's and prossibly the de-k's as well.

" of the 4 bolts only 2 line up "

try and turn the crossmember around than. it has to line back up. your using your same crossmember on the car right. the mounts are also bolted to it and are labeled with arrows. you cant **** it up if its the original one from the car.....good luck

yeah im thinking of doing a really picture oriented mini write up on it. but when i did my swap i just ripped all those vac gallerys out it made it so much easier and less confusing. and i also deleted the egr and evap systems. not many people can do that because of emissions(none here)

One less vaccum to worry about. thats about it. but then again you have to plug the hose up from the tank.

As others have said, everything should line up. Improper install, or damaged/bent goods.
