Big Burn smelling at the WOT

Hi,

since a while I noticed a burn smelling when I'm hitting the gas, like a downshift or a heavy acceleration. I'm pretty sure it comes from the engine bay and the fans bring this in the car.

I checked for a broken vaccum hose or something like that, but nothing. No cel. Car's running like a new.
something in common on these cars?

Thanks

Check for some sort of fluid (oil) leaking down onto the exhaust manifolds, especially the rear.

I have had this problem for a while. I've thought it was everything from the clutch to the exhaust. I've decided its likely a combination of very minor oil seeping from the RMS / clutch slipping / exhaust leak.
There are so many freaking things it could be, I've just accepted it, when something craps out, I'll fix it. I'm not about to tear the car apart because of it, it's being doing this since I got it 2+ years and about 62,000km ago.

If anyone has any idea what it is for sure please post! So far I've found no conclusive answers.

I have this problem too.

I've been noticing it for about a year now. At first I thought it was the cracked radiator, then I thought it was the slipping belts, then a leaking oil pressure sensor. Now that I've fixed those things, I have no idea what it is. I might still have a bit of an oil leak, not sure.

Same Here, although i found recently i am leaking asmall amount of oil, one from my CPS, which i replaced the O Ring, and one from i THINK the oil pump... GRR ill fix it tomorrow... and to top it all off i have to spend 35$ to get a new water pump.. mines leaking from the inside... i dont know that any of these things could be them, but mabey its oil hitting a hot spot on the car mabey even the Exhaust when the pressure increases due to the increase in RPM's... or mabey its the Manifold needing a GOOD cleaning.
any other suggestions?

I'm going to further investigate the rear valve cover gasket. It makes some viable sense.

Great conclusion! I'm pretty shure a high pressure makes a oil leak some where.
I'll take a look on this spring.

Great awsers also, thanks everyone.
