You're correct, I actually edited that part out to keep the video a few minutes shorter. Probably shouldn't have, but too much work to re-edit now.

If you look closely when I'm torquing, I've got the LCA jacked up with all the weight off of the jackstand; about the same as torquing it on the ground, except you can actually reach all the bolts.

Alternator Replacement Video

I have been excited by discovering these videos. May I put in a request for a video on alternator removal and replacement? Thanks for the fantastic amount of videos already done. What a resource!!

Idea for how to

Maybe you can break it up into maintenance according to owners manual. For instance a how-to 30,000 mile tune up. How-to 60,ooo mile tune up a how-to 120,000, along with explaining the differnt things to look for when coming to certain mileage. Some people do a tune-up and dont know what things to look for while their in the process.

Example many people change there alternator and then month or so later end of going back in to change there serpintine belt becuase they didnt know the cracks on the belt were not normal. Just an idea

Front window regulators - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRD-aokDfJg

Not HD yet (Youtube still processing it) but it's watchable in 240/480.

Editing a rear regulators vid right now, probably doing a fuel pump vid tomorrow.

Sadly, I made a great vid for the axles (both axles out in under 10 minutes) but my camcorder decided to mix that fresh shoot with the LCA footage already on the tape. When I get around to changing my trans fluid, I'll shoot it again.

Vid was great pmohr. Just to clarify, you replace the regulator when your window goes up slowly or just regrease it?? Also, mine has the same side by side movement as you mentioned because of the worn guides on the track.

If it's slow because of a worn out motor, then you'll have to replace it. I pulled the run channel out, cleaned/lubed, greased up the regulator some, and it's much better.

Idk if your Maxima has a sunroof, or if you have access to one that does, but how about a how-to on removing/replacing the sunroof? Maybe even rebuilding a sunroof too?

Replacing the third brake light assembly, or just the third brake light bulb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfLna7_5hZk

'95/'96 specific, as IIRC the '97-'99 come up in a slightly different way. Likely make a quick video on that later.

Replacing the rear view mirror: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yrgv1XD1BSE

Just a pair of quick ones this weekend, hopefully next week I'll be able to do something more in-depth like R&R struts, something like that.

Replaced my water pump for the 1st time today. Your water pump replacement videos were excellent!! Not sure if I would have attempted this without a video. Thanks for sharing

New upload, replacing the steering wheel, including airbag removal.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnn_MbDiZGk

Also shot some more updated hood strut and coil/plug replacement footage, that will take a day or two to import, edit, render, and upload.

Have to replace my rear strut mounts this weekend, so expect that to be upcoming as well.

You know what sucks, is I had made a complete video on removing both axles a while back, but my tape decided to mix that footage with the LCA footage.

I'll try to get on that at some point. Rear strut mount footage should be shot this weekend, hopefully up soon.

And you're right, after checking my old hood strut video, I did indeed install them upside down.

There's a video by someone else on the passenger side which is more involved but I couldn't find anything on the driver side. That does suck that you lost the footage.

I saw that you just replied to that lol I don't think it really makes a difference.

lower control arm change out or bushing swap? those are a bit more involved than typical DIYs but might be useful, there were a few handling issues in the past few weeks.

Edit: GREAT videos by the way, I have used many to fix and inspect some little things here and there.

Both of my cars are Fed spec, so that really won't be happening unless I'm provided a Cali spec car and all the parts needed.

There's already an LCA video in the list, very first post. Haven't done the bushings yet, though I do plan on doing it at some point.

Rear strut video uploading now, probably do the final description and annotations and make it live tomorrow afternoon.

Remove and replace front door latch and actuator 4th generation

Hey Guys. My front passenger latch and actuator need to be replaced. Found plenty of info on how to remove the door panels but the latch/actuator are hard to see and I prefer not to proceed without an idea of what I'm doing. Can't find any videos or pics on it. Anybody have any feedback on this? Thanks a bunch!
