OP, may I suggest velcro? Take some velcro with some kind of adhesive and placing one of these >>> http://www.amazon.com/Stick-up_Modular-universal-pistol-holster-Coyote/dp/B003ZZXYF0/ref=sr_1_11?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1329627953&sr=1-11 onto the side of the console near your knee? Super old school police style (Kind of). A little uncomfortable but hey it works depending on its placement.

My Glock 30 is hella uncomfortable between my hip and the seat belt, so I have been putting it in the console while in the Max. With all the CD's and napkins I have in there, it stays snug upright with the muzzle pointed down and forward.

The NRA store has this. *link* \/ It's just the strap and requires you to supply a holster. (Disclaimer: I can't currently remember the structure of that panel in the Max, so this may not even work.)

You should be able to mount a holster to the passenger side of the center console. should be out of your way and easy to get to. Now if you need to conceal, you could mod your underdash a little to install a little pocket, Like one that goes underneath a aftermarket radio. There should be enough room under there to make it very easy to get to and still be concealed.

have to say I have definitely seen some nice ideas here.

ultimately I came to two solutions: either I kept in the holster, which is an IWB. But would slide it to about the 3/4 o'clock position. I normally carry at about 5o'clock. If i was in the car long enough that this was uncomfortable, I would put it in the door panel. with a towel in there so it didn't slide forward and back. I liked this because I never forgot it. I would see it every time I got out.

But, I'm going to be moving to California soon. So regretfully, it will be quite some time before I ever have it with me again I don't even know if I'm going to be keeping my AR15 now :'(

Seems like most of the posts are from people that carry full size sidearms- A lot of the placement issues could be rectified by choosing a smaller framed weapon.

Definitely some creative ideas here, but consider that you most likely won't be sending it from the seated position in the vehicle, so the accessibility can't be entirely based on that.

Looking forward to seeing where this thread goes...

I recently purchased a Springfield XD 9MM subcompact http://www.springfield-armory.com/pr...b-compact-9mm/ and was looking for a way to hide it nice and neat in my 2016 Maxima

Low and behold this little gem fits neatly at the top of the glove box mounted easily. The gun attaches nicely and is easy to remove all the while hidden from plain sight when the glove box is open.
Amazon Amazon

If interested, let me know and I will post a pic.
