lots of air noise

Getting alot of air passby noise from my driver door like the doors not closed all the way/the same flapping noise like having your windows cracked open on the highway. or theres a bad seal to the door can i buy the rubber peice around the door frame area from somewhere i think thats whats wrong because i see a decent sized tear in it and it seems to coming from that area.

yes that will create that whistling noise. you can order a replacement seal, or remove one from a junkyard

There's also a TSB about Wind noise at many points and several solutions. Search for the TSBs and you'll find lots of answers , basically just add some self-stick foam in the noisy areas.

There is an FSM for wind noise for the driver's side door. You may want to follow the fix in that first and see if it helps with your problem. If you don't have the FSM, search around the other member posts and you will get it.

Concerning the air noise i just noticed my driver door can be pushed in about a half an inch after the door is closed. the door can be locked and unable to open. but i can still push it in a little more. is that normal?
the driver isnt closing flush with the body

no, it sounds like a brand new car from startup to a 10 min warmed up idle. my only issue, which isnt bad is my ects needs to be replaced, my fans stay on constantly, but this isnt necessarily a bad thing.

that'll cause an air leak. does your dash light come on for the door being ajar when the door is "closed"? your car been crashed before? sounds like the door needs re aligning.

in its stock form the maxima is stealthy quiet intake adds some noise as well as exhaust components obviously

It's more of a 5th gen problem but i know scottwax did a writeup on how to reduce highway wind noise because of a loose fitting seal. It involves 3m double stick foam strips don't remember the exact dimensions though i need to do it myself though when i get some free time

I think you on the other hand need to adjust your hinges. I think i did a writeup on how to do it a while ago. I can't really remember though

Do you have mods? If you're stock and your car is loud, something is loose/leaking.

If you have a Y-pipe+high flow cat and intake like moi, then your car will be "loud" compared to stock maximas, but not compared to other modified cars.

Wind noise eh? Did you also check the sunroof to see if it's not sitting flush w/ the roof? That's another source of wind noise on these cars also. But If I were you I'd play w/ the door some more to find out about that extra play.

as far as mods i Personally have done none. but the person i bought
it from had a CAI installed. i can hear and tell thats making some extra sound but my main concern is around with the belt area noise i cant remember if its always been that loud or what but im pretty sure its loose belt because the sound gets noticeably louder with revs and some times my the belt "slips" i guess would be the term. so i guess my PS belt is loose. im hoping thats all.

i was just tryin to get a comparison as to whether its a silent running engine or all have the noticeable belt area sound going on

and pics would basically be a waste cant really get a good before and after compare for when left alone an applied pressure to make flush

There is no IF's about it. It can be done seeing that if you were in my area, the guy that painted over my car would have gotten it straight. I have seen that guy worked on an '04 TL which was damaged on every side excluding trunk and roof. All doors had to be replaced, quarter panels, fenders, hood, and bumpers and that car looked like it never got hit when he was done with it and the paint job was great!

You sure it's not your chain?

Mine makes a noise whenever I quickly rev the engine up...

doesn't sound like a metallic chain noise tho im pretty sure its the belts because my power steering belt slips and has to catch sometimes when i start the car and pull out of my driveway.
