Camber Bolts installation question

Camber Bolts installation question

I have the eibach camber kit. Which hole in the knuckle does the camber bolt go into?



Does it go into either of these and if so top or bottom?

Personally I put it in the bottom, don't know if it's right or wrong but my drop isn't extreme anyway so I doubt they were even necessary.

I'm on Eibach's BTW.

Okay. I ripped up the stock factory bolt and realized that I had these eibachs around, so this simplifies things alot, I can just swap the bottom for the top.

i think it depends on which way your camber is off. This is just from perspective. looking at the driver side wheel from the driver seat, if your wheel is like this "\", positive camber, put the bolt on top. If your wheel is like this "/", negative camber, put it on the bottom. So with that said, since most cars have negative camber, put it on the bottom.

I got them in, used the lower bolt hole. Hopefully will get a professional alignment tomorrow or sunday.

The shop I went to really messed up my camber settings. They actually made it worse. They also denied that there was any adjustability on the front, even though I told them I had aftermarket camber bolts in there to compensate, but the "computer" told them they could not adjust anything up there. The guy didn't even seem to understand what a camber bolt / crash bolt was! What a joke! now my front left is -2 degree and my front right is -.9 degrees. I am tracking right when I let go of the wheel and the wheel shakes at low speed.

I am hoping to get my money back, I am really pissed off.

You may have had a guy that only knows how to do what the alignment machine says can be done. That's the way I was when I started doing alignments. When I finally learned what all the geometry was about, then I could improvise. Another possibility is that the place you took it to has a "NO MODIFICATIONS" policy, which usually happens after they got their butts sued for something. Or lastly, the guy is a moron.

Yeah I went back, and a different dude worked on it and he spent about 2 hours as opposed to 45 minutes. Alignment came out perfect except for the left camber very slightly out of spec, but its not bad at all and it drives great. Nice guy too, other guy wasn't as friendly.

I think the first guy was just a jackass.
