Under dash lights/floor lights? DIY?

Anyone add these? I'm soooo used to them on my other cars it bugs me to not have them. Anyone have a quick DIY or location of the wires and how they mounted the lights and what lights they used?

I had mine tapped into the cig. lighter so as soon as I turned the key into the ON position they turned on. I didn't really need them hooked up to a separate switch but could've easily done so.

I bought them used off here. I did do my dimmer switch, cruise control and security LED myself though.

i kno that some people frown upon this; but when i did mine, i tapped into the cig lighter wires and ran a toggle switch. drilled a hole in the shifter trim and screwed my switch in there. cig lighter still worked and i got a lot of compliments from friends

I did that, like 10 years ago. I want something that works off the door switch.

U had have to find a constant on power supply, like the dome light or power supply for the radio.

U want the lights to illuminate when the doors open?? U can tap the door switches for that. but i thought the whole point was to have a switch so u can turn the floor lights on whenever u want??

Maybe you would want to tap into the dome light circuit.

if a 9-led strip or a 194 led bulb is okay, then won't it be easier to extend from the courtesy light with a 194 pre-wired socket? route that wire and plug & play. 6 bucks for a pair.

Dome Light Circuit

Tapping into the dome light circuit is a nice effect but be prepared for quite the time running wire to tap into it. The main trouble is running and making it look clean

Couldn't you use a fuse bridge off of the interior light fuse?

I also wanted to do this and I was told to tap into the courtesy door lights if I just wanted them to come on when I opened the door.
