how do you tighten alt belt?
I had my idler pulley and belts replaced about 3 months ago due to squealing upon start-up. Now the squealing is back and because I just replaced I figure the belts just need to be tightened a little. I've searched on the forum and everyone just says tighten the belts. Could someone explain in detail: HOW TO TIGHTEN THE BELTS? Thanks for the help, I got to get this squeal gone!

I changed my belts myself with the help from this youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJzpTHIky18
Hope it helps!

Same thing happened to me...replaced the belt as preventative maintenance because it was pretty cracked. A few hundred miles after replacing it, I got a squeak at startup because it had stretched a little from use. Tightened it again and it's fine after around 5000 more miles.
I just tightened it until it felt like I shouldn't be going any tighter...that's about the best advice I can give you.
