HID fog light wiring

What's up everyone, I've searched and searched, but I can't find the write up on how to wire in hids to the factory fogs so they can be switched on with the factory fog stalk. I know there's one on here because when i had my old 95 se i used it to do the conversion. Can someone please post it up or let me know if they know how? Thanks

Use the factory wires as the trigger for the relay...

If you aren't using a relay, just use the factory wires

Positive --> Positive
Negative --> Negative

Not too difficult, or am I missing something here?

I'll take a look at it. I wanted to see if i can find the write up before i ripped fogs out, but hopefully it is that simple. I just can't remember for the life of me what the hell i did before to wire them up.

Ok, so you want to wire them into the factory wire harness? I really don't get what it is that you wish to do.

HID kits already come with the ballasts, that you simply just plug and play into the existing connections, no? And in any case, it shouldn't be too hard, unless you are trying to let them run independently from the headlights, in which I would suggest that you just splice the fog light wire directly into the wiper blade wire and tap it off.

by sat i'll have the time to do it, and what i'm doing is installing the hids, but you have to splice the power wire into the vehicle fog light wire to give it power when you flip the switch. This allows you to have your hids in your fogs, and switch them on with the oem stalk switch. I'll post some pics and the steps i took when i'm done.

You shouldn't need to splice anything..

Redundant, but again, only when doing the Independent Fog light rewire is the only time you would need to splice :nods:
