I work at a tuning shop.
I get to hear about how people f up their cars all day long because they tried to tune it themselves. ALL DAY. Then they come to us to fix their problems and are upset when we tell them just how f'd their cars are.

Get it done by a professional.

But yes, there are actually some great books out there for engine tuning that go pretty deep into theory, since every car responds differently to tuning - which is why you should go to a VQ series engine specialty shop as opposed to just some guy who tunes, because we have to fix those problems all day long too...

P.S. Great book! http://www.classicsandperformance.co...anagement.html
