I tell you this if they aren't done with this car by friday I'm going to have to take it somewhere else. It's been a month and 2 weeks already.

yah man honestly that wait time is ridiculous, take it somewhere else. they're painting a car, not installing/tuning a custom turbo set up.

Like what are they doing 3 minutes of work on it per day? 5 minutes at most?

It seems that way. I had it with these dishonest people. Been using my mom's Cavalier for a month now, it isn't the same.

Lol. Funny thing the Manager called me and told me to check out a sample of the color to see if I like it.

I didn't pay them a cent. Manager is giving me Tuesday and Wednesday as the paint date. I told them to paint it blue out of anger when they said that they aren't painting the door jams.

the middle sample looks the best imo. the closest to your stock color. ask them how many coats of primer/base and clear they're applying and see if they have a paint depth gun. it lets you know how many coats of paint were applied.

middle sample sounds good. make sure they put enough coats. I Know it sucks to drive the cavalier but heck it'll be fun on the day when u pick up your car. sometimes ya gotta be patience.. even though its been a month and almost a half. they gotta step up.

Manager said it's a base then clear coat job. Yeah I figured the middle one but this car was in an accident before I had it and the shop that rebuilt it didn't paint the car exactly the same all over. There's dull paint then there's metalic.

for headlights? I gotta do the 96 to 97 rear end and front end swap before I do that.

gonna cost me $500+ for doing both , Trunks from 97-99 are around 100-150, then I gotta paint it to match.. pearl white, so 200+ there, and then the bumper is 100 then 200+ to paint bumper. Then I can add the clear taillights, and clear signals. And finally I have the Black/White Look Im wanting to achieve. then next Body work is to be done.

Classic Maaco. Promise a reasonable completion date but actually takes 3 to 4 times longer... Hope it comes out good in the end.

I kinda like the clears that go on your year car. The clear on top and red on bottoms looks great. I was gonna get a 97 that was a late model 96. Lol. Car had everything a 96-95 had but somehow the dealer kept saying it was a 97.

Meh if ur talking about David L taillights, then yea I would rather have those.. but sadly they are rare. The ghetto ebay ones dont go with the car imo.

Lmao. The car is "dusty grey" now. Manager said tomorrow they'll primer\base coat it.

I hope so dude. I noticed the tire too but I'm not mad that rim is bent. Had to get angry with them and what do you know they got straight to working on the car. I show up everyday after work now.

Are they giving you any discount for the extended wait? Or any type of complimentary service?
