Auto start bypass module for 99 with immobilizer, Programming spare transponder key

Hi, would like to get an autostart kit installed on my car but installer says that for my year the only bypass module that works will require a key to be perm installed in the bypass module. Is there a bypass module for the 99 that doesnt require losing a key?
Also, is there a cheap/easy way of getting a key blank key programmed so I can use that in the bypass module instead?

I had to forfeit a key when I had my viper alarm with remote start installed.

Not that I know of. Hopefully someone else knows.

Crazy alternate option: delicately pull the chip out of the key and attach it to the black ring around the ignition cylinder.

This is what I was going to suggest ^ At that point you can just use standard keys without the chips.

Can you elaborate? How can the software program help bypass immobilizer?

This would be a last option, thanks.

Programing spare transpondor key

Anyone know of a way to program a blank spare transponder key purchased online? I know some cars you can insert the 2 original keys one after the other and then insert the blank to get it programmed. Is there something similiar for the 99 model year? Trying to get a cheap spare key.

I get transponder "chip keys" made for my 99 at Ace Hardware. Home depot can also make "chip keys" -- possibly at the same or better price. Just take an OEM key when you get a duplicate made.

What type of cable did you use on a 99 model with NDSII?

I got one of the ones that was listed as compatible on their site https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00871CJ1W?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

Got it for this very purpose. 2k14 engine going in my car with full 3.5 wiring swap as soon as my headers get back next month (long story). None of the lkqs seem to keep keys with their cars so I had to order one, figured it's better this way I keep the NATS

I've successfully used the VAG KKL interface cable with NDSII on a 2000 model. The 99 model requires communication through the CONSULT interface instead of the OBD2 port. Remember 99 was a hybrid year for NATS, so look out for issues.
