Ebay wheel bearing press

So I just bought one of the 23 piece bearing pressers off ebay. I was able to pull the knuckle and pres out the old bearing and install a new bearing+hub in about an hour. The local machinest would charge me $70 per knuckle so this really paid for itself. Just letting you 4th gen guys know if you already didn't know about it. Here is a link:

Good deal! Glad it worked out for you. I'll have to add this to the tool cart.

That is awesome!

Did you have ABS sensors to deal with? I've heard those can be a real pain to get out of the hub... Curious to hear how others have dealt with it

If y'all YouTube 04 max wheel bearing replace I saw someone own a bearing with Hammers and blocks of wood only. I used this method and it took a few hours but only because my cheap *** didn't think of using a body washer right away as a flange to help get the bearing in. 1/2 in drive electrici impact wrench how me straight it ito once so I didn't gotta back n it out when it started looking offset. Outter race was about 3 inches diameter. Use normal sockets as cups or punches..

Penetrating oil and patience. Slowly slowly pried it up bit by bit and clean and Brush the area before and during to keep grit away. I have 200k miles with original sensors .

I feel I have more control with the screw press vs the hydraulic. I do not have ABS, so that there was a bit of a time saver. With this tool you can press the bearing, press the hub, and even the seals. The only thing is the hub removal must be done with other methods, but my hub just sorta fell out lol.

I almost bought this because I think you can do it without taking the hub off .. this way you can save on a alignment but correct me if I’m wrong ..

Yes you can leave the knuckle on the car, but it was easy enough for me to just take off the entire assembly.
